Indigo flight technical glitch: A flight from Tirupati in Andhra Pradesh to Hyderabad returned shortly after flying on Sunday (July 20, 2025) due to technical fault. IndiGo’s flight left from Tirupati Airport at 7:55 pm on Sunday night, but due to technical fault in the middle, the flight number 6E 6591 was returned. As a precaution, the aircraft circled in the air for about 40 minutes, after which the pilot and the crew member decided to return to Tirupati.
Earlier in a separate incident in the day, Flight 6E 2696 also faced a similar problem on the same route. The aircraft flew around 6:19 am and shortly after the flight, the crew decided to return to Tirupati after finding out the technical problem. Before a safe landing, the aircraft kept circling the air for some time.
All passengers aboard the aircraft are safe, big accident averted
In both cases, no injuries or emergency situation was reported and all the passengers on the aircraft were safe. The airline later canceled both flights. IndiGo has not yet issued any official statement about these incidents. Officials are investigating the causes of technical fault in the flight.
These continuous disturbances have increased the concern of the passengers. However, security procedures were followed and landing was completed without any accident. Passengers affected by the cancellation of flight have been advised to further assistance and contact IndiGo for options.
