In the case of Shivkumar murder case in Karnataka, the police have registered an FIR against five people including former minister and BJP MLA Birathi Basavaraj. Shivkumar was killed on Tuesday (July 15, 2025) at his house.
Shivkumar complained 3 months ago
40 -year -old Shivkumar alias Biku Shiva, a resident of Halasuru area, was attacked by 4 armed attackers riding a bike near his house on Meeni Avenue Road in Bhartinagar. Surprisingly, 3 months before the attack, Shivkumar wrote a letter to the Bengaluru Commissioner, complaining against a goon named Jagdish alias Jagga and MLA Birathi Basavaraj and demanded action. Shivkumar said that he is being threatened and efforts are being made to recover forcibly.
Shivkumar’s mother told the police that the murder was due to property dispute and the attackers were incited by BJP MLA Birathi. Acting on this, the police have registered an FIR against Basavraj, Jagdish, Kiran, Vimal and Anil.
MLA Birathi Basavaraj did not respond
The Bharatinagar Police has registered a case of murder under sections 103 and 190 of the Indian Justice Code and is engaged in the process of investigation. However, MLA Birathi Basavaraj has not given any response to these allegations. Police say that more names can be revealed in the investigation.
Shivkumar was associated with real estate business
Please tell that Shivkumar was associated with the business of real estate. The FIR states that he had bought a land in Kitkanur and got GPA in his name, but on February 11, Jagdish, who was called an associate of MLA Birathi Basavraj, captured the land and forcibly removed the security personnel.
