After 18 days of intensive scientific experiments at the International Space Station (ISS), Shubhanshu Shukla returned to Earth safely, for which his father has been continuously offering prayers in Lucknow along with his family. Shukla returned on Tuesday (July 15, 2025).
Prior to this, the family members prayed to Havan-Pujan and Rudrabhishek and prayed to return to the earth without any trouble. The ancestral house of Shubhanshu, located in the Triveni Nagar area of the capital, is decorated with lights and posters of their surname ‘Sh from outside the house are installed. Preparations are being made to celebrate on the arrival of Shubhanshu in the house.
A moment of happiness for family
His mother Asha Shukla and sister Suchi Shukla are constantly answering phone calls congratulating Shubhanshu on the space trip. Speaking to ‘PTI’ on Tuesday, Shubhanshu’s father Shambhu Dayal Shukla said, ‘Today is a very happy day for us. We have been praying to God for his safe ‘landing’. It is very happy that he has successfully completed his mission and returned.
He expressed the deep respect and satisfaction of the family, saying, ‘It is a very proud moment for us and the country that he has completed such an important mission. Now we will celebrate here with our family, relatives and well -wishers.
This year 40 will be Shubhanshu
Shubhanshu’s wife wish is not in Lucknow yet. Regarding him, Shambhu Dayal said, ‘Wish is now in Florida. The two studied together in Lucknow and both were married with the consent of the family. He has a six -year -old son.
Shubhanshu will turn 40 in this October. His sister, Suchi told that Shubhanshu had taken Indian sweets like ‘carrot halwa and moong dal halwa’ at the international space station, because he likes it very much. Suchi said that he wanted his co-passenger to taste it on his space trip.

He said, ‘Whatever we have come to know through videos and posts, it seems that all of them liked it very much.’ Shukla Dragon ‘Grace’ has returned from the spacecraft, which separated from the international space station on Monday (July 14, 2025) at 4:45 pm. He is accompanied by Mission Commander Paigi Whitson, Slavose Uznansky-Visnivsky of Poland and Tibor Kapu in Hungary. All these are part of the ‘Axiom-4’ mission.
After Rakesh Sharma’s 1984 mission, Shukla created history as the second Indian astronaut who traveled to space, making another achievement in India’s growing presence in international space exploration.
