Manish shankar aiyar: Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar has reacted sharply by questioning the policy of the Government of India on Israel-Pilstine and Iran-Israel tension. He said that today’s India is not the India of Pandit Nehru and Mahatma Gandhi, but it has become the India of Narendra Modi, so stands with Israel and is not raising any voice against the massacre in Palestine.
Iyer said that if the Congress government had been there today, then India’s foreign policy would have been completely clear. He claimed that Sonia Gandhi has also made it clear in an article that the Congress would stand with Palestine. He insisted that India should raise open voice against the massacre in Palestine.
Iran supported India in every difficult time- Manishkar Iyer
On Iran-Israel tension, Mani Shankar Aiyar said that Iran has always supported India, especially on forums like the United Nations. Therefore, India should also support Iran. The most useless Prime Minister told Narendra Modi
Earlier, Congress leader Mani Shankar Aiyar called Prime Minister Narendra Modi the “worst Prime Minister” of India and said that until the country gets freedom from him and his government, India’s fate cannot improve. Iyer was speaking on the second day of the Mysuru Literature Festival on Sunday.
Won by one-third of votes, but most dictatorial attitude
Iyer said that Narendra Modi has become Prime Minister by only one-third of Indian voters’ vote, but has proved to be the most totalitarian leader in history. He claimed that two-thirds Indians did not vote for him, even half of the Hindu community did not vote for him. Iyer said, ‘People understand that Hinduism and Hindutva are not the same.’
‘Diversity will have to be accepted to connect India’
Iyer said that the politics of BJP’s distribution of society on cultural and religious grounds is weakening India. He said that Gandhi and Nehru’s imagination of India will be fulfilled only when we accept the diversity of the country and strengthen its unity. The way to make India united and empowered goes through the principle of unity in diversity.
