A high profile drug dealer has been exposed in Hyderabad. The team of Eagle (Elite Action Group for Law Enforcement) took a major action against drugs and arrested Engineering and MBA Graduate Businessman Surya Annamaneni, who owns a restaurant named ‘Malnadu Kitchen’. Also, 5 other people have been detained in this action and 25 people are searching for other accused.
The owner of the restaurant was hiding in Surya sandals and supplying cocaine. It was also revealed in the action that these accused used to add their business with Nigerian drug suppliers, luxurious pubs of Hyderabad and experts of courier supply.
Drugs found out in a car search
According to sources, the Eagle team stopped Annamneni near the restaurant and his car Tata Scorpio was searched. During the search, a cache of narcotics was found from the car, including 10 grams of cocaine, 3.2 grams of OG Kush (Ganja) and 1.6 grams of Ecstasi tablets. The surprising thing in this was that the cocaine was hidden in a woman’s sandal heel compartment and was being sent to Delhi by making a Maruti courier.
Drug business spreads to Nigeria
Annamneni was a sales manager before starting his business in 2020. He himself confessed that the network of his business extends to Himayatnagar, Karimnagar and Khajaguda. Also, Annamneni also told Nigeria drug smugglers about the network. Drugs like cocaine and MDMA were supplied to household items as soon as they transferred money to the account.
According to Eagle’s head SP Chinnuri Rupesh, Annamaneni has confessed that he used to go to a secret or restricted area in many pubs and consume drugs. Pubs Prism Pubs Pub, Farm PUB, Bird Box, Block 22, Broadway, Xora and Quake Arena have now come under investigation.
