National Conference President Farooq Abdullah: The President of the National Conference, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, appeared in a completely new avatar on Sunday (July 6, 2025), when he joined thousands of Siya mourning in the old city of Srinagar, the capital of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, on the 10th day of Moharram. During this time Farooq Abdullah was seen wearing a traditional Kafeeh, a symbol of Arab hat and Palestinian resistance, which is worn as a traditional head dress on behalf of men in parts of the Middle East countries.

Farooq Abdullah showed solidarity with the people of Palestine and Iran

Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and National Conference President Dr. Farooq Abdullah along with his grandchildren Jamir and Zahid Abdullah participated in the Ashura procession in Srinagar. During this, he praised the conflicts in Palestine and Iran and requested Muslims to unite in the fight against harassment and injustice. He said, “It is united with the people of the Islamic world, Palestine and Iran, who are fighting the Islamic war.”

Farooq Abdullah said that Muslims from all over the world should unite and fight against all the forces of evil. He said that this is the only way to peace.

Dr. Farooq Abdullah also commented on the day of Ashura procession. He said, “It has hoped not only Muslims but to the world that no one can beat Islam.” He said that Islam teaches peace and brotherhood and this message of peace was given by Hussain (grandson of Pangambar Muhammad) while fighting atrocities and evil in the battlefield of Karbala.

Abdullah said, “Karbala hoped to Islam that we will survive despite all the difficulties and no one can beat Islam.”
