SP suspended the police station chief
Bihar government minister Shravan Kumar has expressed grief over this incident. He said that the government will provide full assistance to the dependents of the deceased and the injured. After the tragic stampede incident in Shitala temple located in Madhra, Nalanda, the administration has taken a strict stance and taken major action. After serious negligence in security arrangements came to light, Deepnagar police station incharge Rajamani has been suspended by SP Bharat Soni with immediate effect.
Initial investigation revealed that the security arrangements of the temple were left to the watchman, due to which the crowd became uncontrolled and senior officials were not informed on time. In the stampede case at Shitala temple of Nalanda, SP Bharat Soni said that there was no demand from the temple management for any additional force regarding crowd gathering and security.
