Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim is running drug business in India with the help of Pakistani Intelligence Agency (ISI). Investigation by the Mumbai Police revealed that the people of the underworld are talking to each other using the Zangi application to avoid the eyes of the agency.
Sources in the Mumbai Crime Branch said that Anwar Babu Sheikh, brother of underworld don Chhota Shakeel, wanted to set up a drug factory in Mumbai while sitting in Dubai. The investigation so far has revealed that the underworld of Dubai has made its meeting point, where they are sitting in the hawala business and especially in India.
’50 lakh rupees sent to Mumbai through a businessman,
An official said that Anwar Babu Sheikh had sent Rs 50 lakh to Mumbai through a businessman, those money was later handover to Sarwar Maqsood Khan, who worked for Chhota Shakeel. Sarwar gave the money to the expert in making drugs named Sajid Electricwala and said that this money has been sent by Chhota Shakeel’s brother Anwar Sheikh, make drugs from it.
He told that Sajid would make so much drugs at a cost of 50 lakhs, which would have made a profit of about 5 crores on selling, this business was in planning to increase the entire underworld. When Sajid could not make drugs nor returned the money, Sarwar kidnapped him and his partner and when Sajid’s family gave 50 lakhs, after that Sarwar increased his demand and started asking for Rs 3 crore.
Where was the planning made?
Unit-3 of Mumbai Crime Branch made a drug merchant named Sajid Electricwala to Banda district after a month, who was abducted and kept illegally hostage. An official said that the underworld henchmen had planned to earn money by making drugs in Mumbai jail, Sajid Electricwala was arrested by Maharashtra ATS from Andheri in the case of drugs in 2015, after which he was imprisoned in Arthur Road Jail.
At the same time, Sarwar was also imprisoned in jail where both of them met and then planned to earn money by making drugs. The funding was later started by Chhota Shakeel’s brother Anwar Babu Sheikh. In this case, Jitendra Mangalsingh Thakur alias Akbar Batla, Vijay Krishna Kale alias Saddam (34) and Hussain Abdul Farid Khan were arrested and produced in the court on Thursday, from where the court sent the three accused to police custody till 29 July.
Police in search of accused
Earlier, the accused arrested have been sent to judicial custody after the police custody is over. Whose names are Yunus Omar Tawal Pil, Mohammad Tausif Mohammad Hanif Zhendi, Satish Bharat Kadu, Santosh Sitaram Waghmare, Sarwar Maqsood Khan, Mehtab Ali Mausam Ali Khan and Rahul Raghunath Sawant. The police is now looking for the absconding accused.
