‘4 bombs kept in court premises, in a judge’s chamber …’, Civil Court of Hyderabad threatens to blow up

There was a stir in the City Civil Court in the old Haveli area of ​​Hyderabad when a bomb threatened email was received on Tuesday (July 08, 2025) at 3:15 am. This email was sent to the Chief Justice of the court, claiming that four RDX -based explosive equipment (IED) were placed in the court premises. Email said that these bombs have been hidden in the judge’s chamber and other parts of the court. However, the officials came to know about this at 11 am, after which immediate action was initiated.

Inspector of Mirchauk Police Station said, ‘We received information about threatened email at 11 am. The bomb disposal squad and other security forces immediately started a thorough search of the court premises. No suspicious item has been found so far. We are investigating the matter and will share more information soon. The police stopped all the court proceedings and took out the judges, lawyers, employees and visitors safely.

Security forces investigated every inch of the court complex with the help of sniffer dogs and modern equipment. Assistant Commissioner of Police of Mirchauk Venkateswara Rao said that three bomb disposal squads have been deployed. According to the latest update, no explosives were found till 8 pm, but the search operation is still careful. The police have also sealed the surrounding area.

Strict security arrangements
Police said that the threatened email was sent under the name of ‘Abida Abdullah’ and it is being investigated by the Cybercrime Unit. According to sources, this threat may be the work of some disgruntled people or chaotic elements. The court administration has decided to keep the campus closed till further orders.

Local people and lawyers have an atmosphere of fear of this incident, but the police have appealed to everyone to maintain peace. Given the seriousness of the case, the security system has been tightened.
